In 2011 I was director of works at the Arpeca shipyard in Viareggio (Lucca) for the refit of a 43 m yacht, built by the Mondo Marine shipyard in Savona. After construction, the yacht was subsequently purchased by a new client, who asked to modify all the furnishings on the upper deck. He also asked for the installation of:
- a small hydraulic folding stern platform
- a wi-fi system of great value
- a piano.
The propeller shafts were also dismantled and replaced and some on-board systems were increased. To carry out all the work, the yacht was taken from Savona to Viareggio to the Arpeca shipyards.
The works lasted approximately 6 months for the demolition and reconstruction of what was requested, at the end of which the yacht was returned to the customer with all the modifications made.
